Competitive ELISA demonstrates that low amounts of N8-Acetyl-Spermidine conjugate are required to abolish antigen-antibody reaction (high affinity), while rising concentrations of N1-Acetyl-Spermidine, Spermidine, Spermine, Ornithine, and Putrescine conjugates do not affect reaction (high specificity).

The anti-N8-Acetyl-Spermidine antibody IS1071 is to date the first and only antibody that allows the detection of the polyamine N8AS in biological samples. When combined with the STAINperfect Immunostaining Kit A, this rabbit polyclonal antibody can allow direct visualization of N8-Acetylspermidine in various sample types, including cell cultures and tissues.
