Our range of ELISA kits for quantifying tryptophan metabolites welcomes a new addition: Melatonin. This highly sensitive ELISA kit enables the measurement of melatonin levels in plasma and serum samples both during daytime and nighttime.
Primarily synthesized from Serotonin in the pineal gland during nighttime, Melatonin is then released in the bloodstream. During the day, Melatonin concentrations in the blood range from 0 to 20 pg/mL. They peak at night, reaching 40 to 100 pg/mL. With a limit of detection of 1.6 pg/ml, and a range of 0/3 to 300 pg/ml, our Melatonin ELISA kit is thus suitable for most applications.
