Quantitative analysis of neurite outgrowth using IS1006 GABA antibody
Glutamate toxicity on GABAergic network of rat cortical primary neurons. 10 DIV-old rat cortical cultures were exposed for 96h to increasing glutamate concentrations in the presence & absence of MK801 (NMDA-R antagonist). GABAergic neuronal network was revealed by GABA immunostaining using ImmuSmol IS1006 rabbit GABA antibody and STAINperfect kit A. Representative images are shown in (A). Images were segmented and analyzed to quantitfy GABAergic neurite outgrowth as endpoint (B). Glutamate decreases the GABAergic neurite length in dose-dependent manner, an effect reversed by the NMDA-R antagonist.
